Chiefly translation from Greek of John Damaskin's Exposition of the Orthodox faith. Sections designated with Cyrillic letters. Also includes four homilies of Gregory Palamas (two of which are unknown in Greek) and John Damaskin's epistle to Kosmos. Leaf 16a, inscription in Greek dated Nov. 1 1691 by Metropolitan Kozma Kitiiski of Ohrid (later Metropolitan of Drać) referring to this volume as "Bogoslovieto" and pronouncing anathema on anyone who removes the book from the monastery. Polychromatic interweaving headings with vegetable motif of the Balkan style. Numerous sketches illustrating the text.
